Marking Photon A.D’s fourth full length studio album, “Ekahs Htrae” brings listeners to a never before explored panoramic dance expanse, with an intriguing blend of dark and light, grounded and cosmic. Spanning several distinct musical styles, the album is as much of a multidimensional experience as it is a multi genre one.

The album is rife with deliciously danceable moments, dense-as-Jupiter drops, and shoulder swinging grooves. The music truly takes the body for a joyride of multiple dancegasms, with a side effect of a deep sense of meaning and peace.

While starting off with slow and bass heavy sounds in ‘Erika with a K’, and ‘Destined’, the gapless album moves through a vast palette of emotions and speeds, climaxing in the fast call and response drum ’n’ bass title track, ‘Ekahs Htrae’. Through all the whirling realms, an undercurrent of spirituality provides hope and inspiration to the listener.

This sonic journey shows off Photon A.D’s extensive musical skills not only in the clarity and quality of production, but also as a vocalist. Amidst a musically intense moment, the voice of the artist comes through like a helpful shepherd, gently guiding the experience in a new direction. Photon A.D’s vocal style is tribal and uplifting, with his own special seasonings of magic and psychedelia (ala ’Right On Time’), which make for an ever surprising journey. The release models a brave new direction for the underground dance community.
